Dr. Alexander Niedermeier works for one of the higher state authorities in the field of domestic security, which is directly subordinate to the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of the Interior. He also teaches Political Science as well as Intercultural Competence at the University of Police and Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia (HSPV NRW). Dr. Alexander Niedermeier also teaches International Political Economy of the Relations between the EU, the Middle East and Africa at the Jean Monnet Chair of the Eastern Europe Institute of Free University Berlin. Furthermore, Dr. Niedermeier works as a visiting professor for German Language and Culture at the Faculty of Arts, University of Damietta in Egypt. Dr. Niedermeier also held the DAAD Long-Term Lectureship for Political Science and International Political Economy at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University in Egypt until 2023 as well as a visiting professorship for International Business Law and Commercial at the Business School of ESLSCA University, Cairo Campus.
